HOLIDAY LIGHTS CELEBRATION

Sunday, December 7 at 5pm
East Cobb Park
FREE & Open to Everyone!

This special evening features the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and Simpson Middle School choirs, live music by Loose Shoes band, special guest appearances by Santa Claus and Rudolph, and the lighting of the live 40-foot East Cobb Park tree.

Join us and share in the holiday spirit by giving back to our community. The proceeds from this event will go towards refurbishing and enhancing the park, as well as offering you and your neighbors a classic holiday celebration.

CANNED FOOD COLLECTION
The Center for Family Resources will be collection donations for their food pantry. Please place the following items in marked barrels at East Cobb Park beginning Friday, December 5 after 3pm through the Holiday Lights event on Sunday evening. Suggested donations include:

  • Canned Meats
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Pasta/Rice
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Cereal/Breakfast Items
  • Beverages
  • Canned Fruit
  • Dry Beans
  • Please follow Friends for the East Cobb Park on Facebook for weather & event updates.

    For your own safety as well as the safety of others, please don't park along Roswell Road. If possible, please consider walking, biking or carpooling to the park. Additional parking is available at Fuller's Park.

    Towhee Trail ProgramADOPT-A-SECTION OF THE
    TOWHEE TRAIL PROGRAM

    Individuals, groups and families have an opportunity to adopt one remaining trail section and tend it, to include removal of non-native or invasive plants, re-establish native tree and plant populations (bought by volunteers or acquired through the Georgia Native Plant Society Rescue Program), remove trash and workday debris.

    10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
    On Saturday, July 13, Friends for the East Cobb Park celebrated the 10 year anniversary of East Cobb Park! Guests included founders of the park, East Cobb Civitan Club, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, Georgia State Attorney General Sam Olens, Cobb County Commission Chairman Tim Lee, and Commissioner Bob Ott. An anniversary presentation was followed by games, jumpys, face-painting, refreshments, live music and DJ entertainment!
